Hydration Mask

For those who need a boost of hydration.

Is your moisturiser just not cutting it? Give your skin a much-needed hydration boost with this face mask from The Everygirl, it will leave your skin feeling rejuvenated and beautifully nourished. Avocado is rich in omega-3 fatty acids making them excellent moisturisers that penetrate deep into the skin. As well as its moisturising benefits, yoghurt contains lactic acid which helps to kill bacteria and works as a mild exfoliant. Finally for an extra boost of hydration honey, as a natural humectant, it draws and holds moisture from the air making it a wonderful addition to this facemask.

  1. Mash half an avocado in a small bowl.
  2. Add 1 Tbsp of plain yoghurt and 1 tbsp honey and combine until smooth.
  3. Apply a thick layer to clean skin for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Remove with a warm washcloth and finish with a splash of cold water and your favourite moisturiser.

Calming Mask

Made with just oatmeal and plain yoghurt, this mask from Hello Glow is designed to calm and reduce any inflammation.

  1. Mix together 1/3 of a cup of cooked oatmeal and 2 tbsp on plain yoghurt
  2. Apply a thick layer to clean skin and leave for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove with lukewarm water.

  1. Mix together 1/2 tsp of activated charcoal, 1/2 tsp of bentonite clay, 1/4 tsp of coconut oil, 1/4 of baking soda and 1 tsp of water into a consistent paste. Make sure not to use any metals with this recipe as bentonite clay absorbs metals and becomes less effective.
  2. Apply to clean skin and leave for 10 minutes, making sure to get any on clothes as charcoal can stain!
  3. Remove with warm water.
